During my recent stay at Makanas Beach Bungalows in Santa Teresa, I had the pleasure of indulging in a culinary experience that surpassed my expectations. Under the new Italian management, the restaurant at Makanas is a hidden gem that beckons food enthusiasts like myself. One evening, my partner and I decided to treat ourselves to a romantic dinner at the restaurant overlooking the ocean and the stars. The ambiance was serene, with a gentle sea breeze adding to the magic of the evening. The menu boasted a fusion of flavors that left us utterly impressed. We savored dishes like the butter chicken and seafood, expertly crafted by the talented chefs. The gin and tonic and margaritas added a refreshing touch to our meal.After a day of exploring the beauty of Santa Teresa, breakfast at Makanas was the perfect treat. Each morning, we were greeted with a spread that included fresh fruit, Costa Rican coffee, eggs, rice. The attention to detail and quality of ingredients truly made our visit spectacular. Makanas Beach Bungalows remains a secret spot with unique restaurants, local culture, magic sunsets, and mind-blowing nature. Our dining experiences at the hotel added an extra layer of joy to our stay, and I would highly recommend Makanas to anyone seeking a culinary adventure in Costa Rica.
